Turn 5, Inc: About Us
In 2001, while others were just discovering the full potential of the internet, brothers and high school students Andrew and Steve Voudouris recognized an opportunity to better connect consumers with the products they wanted. Seizing the entrepreneurial spirit, the Voudouris brothers forged their own path to success.
Rather than learning about business and technology in a classroom, Andrew and Steve started Xoxide, Inc., in their parent's two-car garage. As an early ecommerce site that sold computer accessories, Xoxide eventually grew to include a number of other successful ecommerce sites in various industries. But, one site they launched in 2004, AmericanMuscle.com, reflected the true passion of its owners: the automotive aftermarket.
In 2009, Andrew and Steve sold Xoxide, focused on Turn 5, and concentrated on AmercanMuscle.com. Turn 5 now operates two retail sites (Ford Mustang: AmericanMuscle.com, Jeep Wrangler: ExtremeTerrain.com) which connect customers with industry leading automobile modification parts.
Turn 5 has grown exponentially and is poised to continue this expansion. This growth is driven by the company's emphasis on the customer experience, catered specifically to Ford Mustang & Jeep Wrangler owners through online reviews, product selection, meticulous fitment data and how-to videos. Additionally, the company is dedicated to going above and beyond for their customers. Through their focus on providing prompt service and product delivery, Turn 5 offers free same day shipping, pre-painted accessories and catalogues to supplement its robust website.
Each year, Turn 5's American Muscle Car Show, the Northeast's largest Mustang-only event, show gathers 2,500 registered Mustangs and 10,000 Mustang enthusiasts in Eastern Pennsylvania for a day-long event. Historically, the hallmark of the event has been the company's commitment to giving back to the local community. Since the show's inception in 2009, Turn 5 has raised more than $100,000 for numerous charities including Alex's Lemonade Stand, Special Olympics, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Wounded Warrior Project.
Under the leadership of Andrew and Steve Voudouris, Turn 5 has also received national recognition. Since 2009, the company has been honored with 13 customer service and growth awards, including Entrepreneur Magazine's "Hot 500 Award"; Inc. Magazine's "Top 100 Retail Companies"; and Bizrate.com's Platinum Award for Customer Service Excellence." The federal government has also acknowledged Andrew and Steve Voudouris for their leadership;, the brothers were awarded the Small Business Administration's "Young Entrepreneur's Award."
